Our workshop and showroom are housed within a historic building in Ankara, Türkiye.

VELORA is much newer. And perhaps that contrast is precisely where our story begins.

There is something compelling about creating contemporary objects in a place already marked by time. Architecture carries traces of the lives that have moved through it; materials acquire their own character in much the same way. What lasts is rarely defined by novelty alone.

Inside these walls, VELORA leather goods are handcrafted in Türkiye with an emphasis on material, proportion and construction.

We are interested in objects that feel considered rather than excessive — pieces designed beyond a single season or moment. Leather is particularly suited to this idea. It is not a material that needs to remain untouched. It is carried, handled and lived with, gradually becoming personal to the person who owns it.

For us, craftsmanship is not about creating the appearance of another time. It is about taking the time to make something worth carrying into the next one.

A finished object leaves the workshop and enters another life: different streets, different cities, familiar routines and journeys not yet taken.
